The second volume of his three-volume Old Testament Theology, published by IVP Academic in 2006. Where the first volume, Israel's Gospel (2003), follows the Old Testament's narrative of God's acts, this one sets out what the Old Testament says about God, Israel, the world and humanity as a body of faith, drawing on the whole of the Hebrew Bible. It runs to almost nine hundred pages.
