ABOUT
Why “Exchanged”
A call to a new life.
My Story
In 2016, I was attending a church in upstate South Carolina. I don’t remember the sermon’s topic, but I’ll never forget how the pastor explained Psalm 37:4:
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
He explained that this verse wasn’t a promise of material blessings. Instead, as we delight in God, He transforms our hearts, exchanging our old desires for desires that reflect His will.
That idea gripped me. I began seeking that exchange in my own life, longing to leave behind my old self and embrace the life God intended.
Not long afterward, I felt led to write a book about coming to faith later in life. That book is still in the works as I continue to learn and grow in spiritual maturity. Then came a call to explore a “new way to church.” Over time, that vision has grown into the Exchanged Community of Believers, which has yet to launch.
Later, an idea for an online store selling a carefully curated selection of Christian writings led to this site. The store hasn’t opened, and I don’t know whether it ever will. But through each of these endeavors, the focus has remained the same: the incredible—and sometimes deeply challenging—exchange of my old life for a new life abiding in Christ.
I pray that, in some small way, this library will help you on your journey.
With God’s love,
