Islam and Judeo-Christianity: A Critique of Their Commonality
For For readers interested in Ellul's comparison of Islam with Judaism and Christianity; it argues a contested position and is unfinished.
A text Ellul left unfinished at his death, written in the context of the Gulf War, and published by the Presses universitaires de France in 2004 with a preface by Alain Besançon. Ellul argues against the common grouping of Islam, Judaism and Christianity as three 'Abrahamic' religions and sets out the differences he saw between them. It was translated by D. Bruce MacKay as Islam and Judeo-Christianity: A Critique of Their Commonality (Cascade, 2015).
