A short guide (86 pages) published by Tyndale House in Wheaton in 1972; L'Abri Fellowship issued it the same year as Twenty-five Basic Bible Studies. It is arranged as twenty-five studies, each on a doctrine, moving through the main themes of Christian teaching, among them God, creation, man's condition, sin and grace, the person and work of Christ and the things to come. Each study is a sequence of Bible passages to read with a sentence or two of comment on each, so that the reader learns the doctrine from the text itself. It was meant for individual or group use and was collected in the second volume of The Complete Works of Francis A. Schaeffer (1982), A Christian View of the Bible as Truth. Crossway reissued it in 1996 as 25 Basic Bible Studies, printed with Two Contents, Two Realities.
