An English translation of the services for the great feasts of the Orthodox Church that fall on fixed dates, taken from the Menaion, the liturgical books arranged by the days of the year. It was made by Mother Mary of the Orthodox Monastery of the Veil of the Mother of God at Bussy-en-Othe and Archimandrite Kallistos Ware and published by Faber and Faber in 1969 (about 564 pages). With its companion The Lenten Triodion (1978) it gave English-speaking Orthodox a full text of these services for use in church and private reading, and it remains a standard translation.
