Souvenirs of Solitude was published by Dimension Books in 1979 (163 pages), with prayers by Sue Garmon; NavPress reissued it in 2009 with the subtitle Finding Rest in Abba's Embrace. It comes from the decade after Manning joined the Little Brothers of Jesus, the community founded on the example of Charles de Foucauld, whose life combines work among the poor with long periods of solitary prayer. It is one of the few early Dimension titles to have been brought back into print.
