Studies of the Renaissance humanist Giovanni Pico della Mirandola (1463-1494), published by Aubier in 1974. De Lubac examines Pico's thought and the interpretations of it, reading him as a Christian thinker rather than a pagan precursor of modern humanism. An Italian translation appeared as L'alba incompiuta del Rinascimento (Jaca Book, 1977). It has not been published in English.
