Eliot's school and undergraduate poems, most of them first printed between 1907 and 1910 in the Harvard Advocate. The book was privately printed in Stockholm in 1950 in a very small edition and issued by Faber and Faber in 1967, after Eliot's death. It shows the young poet before Prufrock, writing in conventional forms and beginning to find his own voice under the influence of the French poet Jules Laforgue.
